After deliverance from homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, Jason Fowler (formerly with mainstream rockers Ultraphonic and Speed X) turned his songwriting focus to faith for 2014’s Letters From The Inside. Two years later, I Fall In showcases his growth as a mighty creative force, alongside the considerable strides he’s made to conquer those personal demons now ten years sober. And even without substances in his life, the singer/songwriter still can kick up a hearty southern pop/rock storm on meaningful material such as “Come Alive,” “Smile” and “We Rise.” The project also benefits from the production of GRAMMY-nominated veteran Billy Smiley (White Heart, Johnny Cash, Newsboys), plus that latter act’s former front man Peter Furler on the praise-filled “You Give Me A Reason” and Sixpence None The Richer’s Leigh Nash on the rootsy “Family,” all of which further enhance Fowler’s redemptive direction.
