North Point Worship has released Live From Decatur City internationally from North Point Music and Centricity Music. The six-track EP features lead single, “Abundantly More (Live).”
Part of North Point Ministries’ global network of more than 90 partner churches, North Point Worship captured Live From Decatur City audio and video with a full 12-piece band at Decatur City Church, which is one of the ministries’ seven Atlanta-area campuses. Although recorded without an audience due to COVID-19 restrictions, the worship team is excited to share what they experienced in the church during the recording.
“Live From Decatur City is a project that truly reflects who we are and who we want North Point Worship to be,” says worship leader Lauren Lee. “The entire project takes place inside a beautiful church, with all of us worshipping together. While this past year has thrown us all many curve balls, and being all together isn’t an option for many, we decided to try to create that experience as best we could virtually. Our hope is that these songs will translate through your screen, speakers or phone the way we felt them in that room; a group of friends, full of love for each other, pursuing Jesus side by side.”
Along with the energetic recording of “Abundantly More” featuring Clay Finnesand, Live From Decatur City includes North Point Worship songs “O What A Miracle” featuring Kaycee Hines and “Anchor or Peace” featuring Lauren Lee.
And while North Point Worship rarely covers worship songs written outside of its group of talented songwriters and musicians, there are two songs special to the team that they recorded for the new EP. Chris Cauley, Desi Raines and Lee lead a rousing version of Maverick City’s “Promises” and Heath Balltzglier and Emily Harrison lead Bethel Music’s “Goodness of God.”
