“This song came about as I thought about the theme of “remembrance” that is so prevalent throughout the Bible. The Old Testament is full of calls for His people to remember all that God had done for Israel. Jesus in the New Testament calls his disciples to remember Him and all he’s done. Remembering what God has done for us is the gateway to true worship and intimacy. This led to the call and response verse: “has he been good to you?” I pray that this song causes people to truly think about and remember the goodness of God in their lives and worship Him in a real way.
