Indie artist Chidiya Ohiagu was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, where he grew up listening to a wide variety of music from pop to soul and R&B, Afro beat to classical and Gospel. Singing in choirs and listening to “boy bands” like Backstreet Boys, and contemporary Christian groups like dcTalk made him fall in love with harmony, smooth vocals, and varied musical styles. He became a Christian at a young age and his faith in God is what fuels his music. He now lives in Mobile, Alabama and is blessed to be a singer/songwriter with his debut single released in December 2019 and debut EP in December 2020. Two singles have followed in 2021 “Messengers” first and “Amazed” after that. “Already Blessed” his latest single, released in February 2022, has now been released as “Already Blessed Remix.”

Story Behind the Song:
“I was inspired to write this song because too often we can focus on waiting to be blessed (e.g. a new job, car, house, relationship etc.), rather than becoming more aware of the blessings we already have in the gifts God gives us every day. I want this song to be a daily reminder that our blessings are not just in the future, but here and now, in every single moment of our present lives as followers in relationship with Christ. A reminder that God is with us, and His presence and the gift of salvation are more than enough blessing for us on any day.
