North Point Music: ‘Beginnings’ album review

With the assistance of relative newcomers Lauren Daigle and Casey Darnell, this album brings some fresh voices and songs to the modern worship scene. “When The Waters Rise” has crisp drums and keyboards underneath a simple vocal from Chinua Hawk. Steve Fee (formerly of FEE) leads a slightly frantic arrangement of “All Because of Jesus,” which is a weak spot, but his version of “Glorious One” makes up for the outlier. “Our Great God” is powerful, strong, and the best moment of the collection.
