(Detroit, MI) –For the past five years the Jason Eaton Band has steadily climbed the ranks in the CCM world with 3 major music video releases, 4 AC radio singles, and major radio airplay in the US as well as the UK, also charting #4 on Australia’s Vision Radio Network. The band has performed on hundreds of main stages around the US with notable Top 30 CCM artists at major Christian Festivals. Now the band is looking to change the identity of the band with a new name, new branding, and new music. “This ministry started out as a solo ministry back in 2009, states front man Jason Eaton. “After hiring musicians in 2010 we quickly became a band that writes together. The “Jason Eaton Band” name was simply a metamorphosis of the solo ministry to a band ministry, but it was never intended to be the band name ultimately.” Eaton continues. Using social media, the band put out a request for band name suggestions. With nearly 450 suggestions from fans worldwide, the band narrowed the list to 10, asking the fans to vote for their favorite. After a month long process the band again narrowed the list to 3 names: Etched, 6th Day Made, or Love is King, and has announced they have chosen the name but won’t reveal it until their June main stage performance at the Big Ticket Festival in Gaylord, MI. “We are so excited to have our fans create our new name and to have them share in this new beginning!” Eaton exclaims.
Until the big reveal, the band is raising funds through an IndieGogo campaign entitled, “A New Beginning”, for their upcoming single, “The Story of Love”, which is a fusion of U2 and Pink Floyd influences. Through a short 30-day campaign, they hope to raise a modest $3500 to cover recording costs and a digital release in June. You can visit the campaign here: http://igg.me/at/ANB/x
