Across the world, Global Ministries works through over 200 short- and long-term missionaries and partners in more than 60 countries. Since its inception, the agency was intended to be global in all respects, assisting and supporting those who are serving as the hands and feet of Christ.. Global Ministries connects The United Methodist Church, its people and congregations to partner with others engaged in God’s global work, which takes place in a variety of settings, countries and cultures.

Missionaries are pastors, pilots, teachers, medical workers, church planters, engineers, social workers and more who are evangelizing through mission initiatives; addressing diseases of poverty and global health and responding to natural and civil disasters. Global Ministries connects churches and individuals with missionaries to provide financial, spiritual and emotional support through a covenant relationship. Global Ministries helps identify and assist people who are responding to God’s call to mission and volunteer service, providing training, resources and support for the missionaries in the global context.
