KellyMarie Releases Debut Christian Single ‘Hey! A Child Is Born’

KellyMarie’s debut Christian single “Hey! A Child Is Born” is available now on all streaming platforms. Drawing inspiration from the beloved book “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” and classic Christmas tunes, KellyMarie delivers a whimsical celebration of the birth of Jesus.

After hearing Dallas Jenkins’ announcement of the 2025 film based on the same story, KellyMarie was inspired to write a song centered around the rambunctious and outcast family that took over the local Christmas pageant. KellyMarie says, “I have read this book every year since I was a little kid, and this last Christmas I was able to read it to my kids – who are still gravely concerned for the Herdmans”.

The song follows the initial apprehension to the unpolished beauty that was observed under candlelight at the pageant. The chorus is a playful nod to the famous line in the book where the meanest Herdman dressed as an angel scares the shepherds in the pageant by screaming “HEY!! Unto you a child is born!”. Whether you are familiar with the story or not, the song speaks to the heart of all listeners as the truth is proclaimed that our Savior is born.

With lively keys, jingle bells, synths, and catchy melodies, this track is a standout holiday hit that will have listeners joyfully shouting “HEY!” along. The track also includes the voices of KellyMarie’s family and closest friends to enhance the celebratory message.
