Autumn Nelon Streetman, the sole surviving member of the beloved Southern Gospel group The Nelons, has found a beacon of hope amidst profound grief. On Sunday, December 1, Autumn and her husband, Jamie Streetman, joyfully welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Rhett James Streetman, born at 7:55 PM. In a touching coincidence, Rhett shares his birthday with his late grandmother, Kelly Nelon Clark.

This moment of joy comes just months after a devastating tragedy that struck the Nelon family. On July 26, a plane carrying members of The Nelons crashed in Wyoming, claiming the lives of Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason Clark, their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler, and Amber’s husband Nathan. Also lost in the crash were the family’s assistant, Melodi Hodges, and the pilot and his wife, Larry and Melissa Haynie. Autumn and Jamie, traveling separately, were spared from the crash but returned home to heartbreaking news.

Despite this tremendous loss, Autumn has leaned on her faith and music to find strength. She honored her family’s legacy with a moving performance at their funeral, vowing to continue sharing the Gospel through song. Rhett’s birth marks a new chapter of healing and hope for the Streetman family.
