Out & About – February 1, 2016

Austin Stone Worship’s Kyle Lent (left) and Dietrich Schmidt (right) work through last minute details for the recording of the troupe’s live album, This Glorious Grace.

Fellow Austin Stone Worship members Steven Bush (seated, left) interviews Jesse Reeves (seated, center) about the story behind the team’s new song “You Never Change.”

Kenny Rogers stopped by Merrillville, Indiana’s Star Plaza Theatre for his annual “Christmas & Hits” tour. Pictured in the hits set, the legendary country/southern gospel star sings a classic in front of The Love Of God album cover (his Cracker Barrel exclusive featuring Point Of Grace, The Whites and more). 4: During the holiday half, Rogers sings songs from the brand new Once Again It’s Christmas alongside fellow country star Linda Davis (who just so happens to be the mother of Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott) and a local children’s choir. (Photo credit: Andy Argyrakis)

MercyMe stops by Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for a float ride, plus a performance from the group’s latest seasonal selection MercyMe, It’s Christmas. The group was also featured at a recent Sam’s Place show at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Sunday, January 10 with Steven Curtis Chapman, Plumb and Rend Collective (amongst others).

And speaking of Rend Collective, the group’s guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Patrick Thompson just married the love of his life Judith Clare. Congrats go out to the charming (and creatively photographed) couple from the entire CCM family!
