The Gospel Music Association celebrated the 50th Annual Dove Awards with a sold out crowd in Nashville, TN. The special evening shined a light on Christian music and Gospel music's rich and diverse history and showcased the future of exceptional artistry.

Bart Millard, lead singer for multi-platinum Christian music band MercyMe, added another Dove Award to his long list of accolades, garnering the award for Songwriter of the Year (Artist) at the 50th Annual GMA Dove Awards. MercyMe unveiled their brand new single, "Almost Home," live during the show.

TobyMac added another Dove Award to his collection this year, taking home the award for Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year. The multiple Dove Award winner opened the 50th Annual Dove Award show with an energetic and explosive performance of his reinvented version of "The Elements" with guest vocalist LEDGER.

Genre-defying Christian music artist and multi-instrumentalist Crowder earned the Dove Award for Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for “Wildfire” during the GMA’s 50th Anniversary Dove Awards last night.
