Recently, Ben Kolarcik & John Strandell posted this acoustic cover version of “Lose Somebody” by OneRepublic. This is obviously not a “CCM” song, per se, but this impromptu performance is just too good to pass up.

Ben Kolarcik is a singer, songwriter and worship leader who writes and performs music captivating audiences world wide. You might recognize the name from his days as a member of GMA Dove Award nominated duo Across the Sky. John Strandell is Ben’s brother-in-law who is as a worship pastor in St. Louis who also produces and writes (notably Corey Voss & Madison Street Worship).

“So, we’re in town for family vacation—the duo in the video is me (Ben Kolarcik) and my brother in law (John Strandell). It’s a family affair. :)) We had talked about doing a cover before we got to Nashville so while the family went to the pool we set up and did a quick couple takes of the OneRepublic tune, “Lose Somebody,” that’s pretty big right now. I’m in Phoenix, AZ these days as a worship leader at Christ’s Church of the Valley. I’m also writing, producing and performing with CCV Music, and with a band called Future Classic (along with former Stellar Kart drummer Jordan Messer).
