Z2 Comics is launching multi-platinum rock band Skillet's New York Comic Con (NYCC) debut in a big way in support of their brand new, best-selling graphic novel, EDEN: A Skillet Graphic Novel. In addition to #NYCC news, Skillet's current rock track "Legendary" has been tapped as the official theme song for WWE's RAW on USA Network.

We sat down with some of today's best songwriters at a retreat in Aspen, Colorado to capture the heart behind some of the songs you know and love. Our first guest in the CCM Songwriter Series is Michael Cochren of Cochren & Co.

Atlanta-based Christian music band Smalltown Poets recently holed up in a Portland Oregon basement, on a rainy day, to write together. Encouraged by the fruits of their efforts, they continued into the next few days, hammering away at song ideas that took them into uncharted waters, in terms of content, stylings and, at times, even genres. The result was the bands new single “Try”...and it's 4 different remixed versions. "Try" is the first glimpse into the results of those writing sessions, and points to the ongoing evolution of the multi-Grammy nominated band. The song was born of a strange experience for one of the Poets.

Chris and Stephanie of Out of the Dust were high school sweethearts that went on to get married --- then things changed. Chris found himself no longer believing in God and asked Stephanie for a divorce. Later in life God redeemed their marriage. This song is the powerful story of that redemption and hope.
