“It’s taken me a long time to realize that God isn’t going to ever give up on me. He’s so patient with my brokenness and so loving even when I don’t feel lovable. I’m SO grateful that He’s the One in control and not me,” shares Kerr of the message behind her new song. “I try so hard to hold onto control because I convince myself that control brings peace. But I know that’s not true! It’s so much better when we just let God have our worries, our wounds, and our fears. Hope this song resonates with you.”

Accentuated by warm strings, the ballad finds Kerr pondering the undeniable power of Christ while underscoring her humanity as she wonders what it would be like if the roles were reversed between a loving Father and His imperfect child. An intimate vocal delivery, Kerr carries a spirit of gratitude as she confesses, “Thank God You’re God and I’m not.” The heartfelt selection arrives in advance of her sophomore studio set, coming late Summer 2024.

Further previewing her forthcoming album, the singer/songwriter previously dropped testimony-driven track “Changed.” Last week, she premiered an official music video for “Changed” that puts a stunning visual to the transformation that takes place when we put our faith in Jesus .
