Alexandria Levin is a passionate worshipper and follower of Jesus. While she has been traveling with ministry teams and served in worship leadership for awhile, she is relatively new on the national CCM worship music scene. For years Alexandria has written songs and used music as an expression of her worship. In 2018, she took a more intentional approach to her songwriting and began collaborating with friends and family as well as joining the Dream Records roster.

CCM recently connected with Alexandra for this New Artist Spotlight article. Get to know her better with the details and her answers to our questions below:

CCM: Do you have a favorite song from the new album? Why?
Alexandria Levin: My favorite song on the album is “I Can Feel.” It’s the very first one that I wrote for this album. It will always be extra special to me.

CCM: What led you to pursue a career or ministry in music?
AL: Music has always been a big part of my family, and since the age of 10 I’ve had a heart to worship Jesus. Once I felt the Lord giving me the green light to pursue a career in music ministry I dove in head first!!!

CCM: Do you remember that moment when you realized you wanted to make an actual career out of music?
AL: Yes! I was in my regular routine of working, being mom and singing on the worship team at church. I distinctly remember talking to God, saying “If this is what you have for me for the rest of forever, THANK YOU! Thank you for my family; thank you for an amazing job; thank you for an awesome church family; I am truly blessed.” God responded with “This is only the beginning.” I felt nervous and scared, but I started to speak about it to people and really tried to get my head around what I felt God was calling me to. A few short years later, and here we are. I am so grateful that God would use me in this way!

CCM: What are your hopes for the new project?
AL: To reach people around the world and share the Love of Jesus!

CCM: If you could potentially tour with any other artist or band (that you haven’t already), who would you choose and why?
AL: We Are Messengers. They’re so talented and completely authentic. I will never forget the testimony that their lead singer shared one Sunday morning at our church. Those are the kind of people that I would love to worship with and do ministry with, people who unashamedly share their love for Jesus and how they’ve been transformed!!!

CCM: What was the last song you listened to on your playlist or stereo?
AL: “Your Spirit” by Tasha Cobbs Leonard. That song is FIRE!!!!!

CCM: What was the last book you read?
AL: You Are The Girl For The Job by Jess Connolly

CCM: If you could tell the world about another artist/band to check out, who would it be?
AL: Unspoken

CCM: What has been interesting to you musically lately? Perhaps something new to you in terms of listening habits or influences?
AL: After recording in the studio I listen to music in a totally different way now! As much as I LOVE music, I have a new appreciation for music in general.

CCM: How did you arrive at the name of your new album?
AL: AMAZED! We played around with a few ideas and when we got to the song “AMAZED” we knew that was it. It tied everything together. Throughout this entire process I’ve continued to be amazed, literally in awe of what God is doing in my life and how He has made so many things possible that for so long were only a distant dream for me.

CCM: Are there any underlying themes or threads that tie this project together?
AL: The love of Jesus!

CCM: What message do you hope listeners will take away from your music, regardless of what they believe?
AL: That they are LOVED and TREASURED by God and they are not alone!
