Ask anyone who knows her, and they will tell you that the three constants of BEKX‘s life has always been God, family and music. The child of a Sunday school teacher, and product of years of faith-based education she is quick to tell you how God has blessed her, setting her on the path she’s on today. And that path is using her gifts to share her love and kindness with the world.
From a young age, she’s always found her way onto the stage. Her youngest years were spent dancing ballet across Hollywood under the tutelage of some of the best teachers in the state. From there she found herself a singer in a karaoke band with her friends, performing at restaurants as late as kids were legally allowed. BEKX’s family smiles as they tell stories about how she would always be singing, making up songs as she made her bed or did her chores.
As BEKX got older and her faith grew, she found a calling in working with special needs children. Alongside her mother she taught sailing classes to those with special needs, turning a passion into a learning opportunity. The hand of God was with her in this, as when her own nephew was born with special-needs she was ready and able to share her love and skills with her family.
As a model in the Barbizon School, BEKX made a number of connections with producers, promoters and industry officials. It was her success in the competitions that caught their eye, but once they heard her sing, she had their ear. It was here that the seeds of her music career began to blossom, as countless agents and managers encouraged her to take her blessings and launch herself into the industry.
Having been a songwriter now for half a decade, filled with passion and drive and graced with an incredible singing voice, it was only natural that she would be able to surround herself with talented people and make her dream a reality.
Now with the launch of her first single “Godspeed,” which she has dedicated to her nephew, she is primed and ready to take the world by storm!
