Out & About: Aretha Franklin

She may be the undisputed “Queen Of Soul,” but Aretha Franklin also holds the esteemed distinction of scoring the best-selling live gospel album ever in the form of 1972’s Amazing Grace. Relive her extraordinary “Fashion On Ice” performance from a more recent NBC special taped in Chicago and don’t forget to tune into her memorial service on Friday, August 31 when Detroit’s Greater Grace Temple will be filled with the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Ronald Isley, Chaka Khan, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, The Clark Sisters, Jennifer Holliday, Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Marvin Sapp, The Williams Brothers, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Audrey DuBois Harris, Alice McAllister Tillman, Edward Franklin, the Aretha Franklin Orchestra and the Aretha Franklin Celebration Choir.
