CCM: Did you say…?
TL: …Botanist. By Robert Dick, a Scottish baker and botanist that spent his life as a baker and didn’t have enough money but really wanted to study fossils…so he would get up in the wee hours and go to the coast and get specimens of rocks, and then go back and bake bread. It’s a real obscure book.
CCM: Can you get this on Amazon?
TL: No, you can’t, but I have two copies. I have two copies and one that we bought when we were in Scotland. I was rereading that the other day.
CCM: Okay… Last concert you actually paid a ticket for?
TL: Stevie Wonder, Keys In The Song Of Life… No, Songs In The Key Of Life Tour!
Editors note: Turns out, you CAN get Robert Dick’s book on Amazon! Tim was correct, it’s obscure, but was recently reprinted in 2015 and marketed in a series titled “Forgotten Books.” The full title: Baker, Of Thurso, Geologist And Botanist (buy), pick up a copy and eat your hearts out all of you bread-and-botany enthusiasts!
