I love books.
No, that doesn’t necessarily mean I read them. Ha! But I sure love to collect them.
OK, OK — that used to be true. I’ve been reading a fair amount lately, and I realize that a lot of Christian artists have written legit books that need to be read.
Here’s my list of books I’d like to read:
When God Becomes Real by Brian Johnson
The Bethel Music pioneer/frontman shares about his battles with anxiety.
Praise Habit: Finding God in Sunsets and Sushi by David Crowder
This is an old one where Crowder reflects on what worship truly means to him.
The Mystery by Lacey Sturm
I’ve started this book, and it’s way good. She goes from getting super honest about a dark time in her life to getting real about overcoming the orphan spirit and getting to know the real Jesus.
The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson
This singer-songwriter has no shortage of talents. Sheesh. This fiction series is full of allegory. I’ve started the first book and it’s awesome!
Holy Roar: 7 Words That Will Change the Way You Worship by Chris Tomlin & Darren Whitehead
This coincides with Chris’s latest album — giving a practical look at the way we worship.
I Can Only Imagine: A Memoir by Bart Millard
This released a year ago and was the narrative catalyst for the huge movie based on MercyMe frontman Bart Millard’s life.
Fiefdom of Angels by Kevin Max
True Maxian fans are well aware of this fiction series where KMax ruminates on the histories of the angels before humanity came on the scene.
