Poplarville, MS – August 16, 2024
Niki Lou Savich, a new voice in Christian American and Folk Music, is thrilled to announce the release of her debut single, “Valley Of Shadow And Light,” on Friday, August 16, 2024. This introductory track is the first release from Niki’s forthcoming debut album, ‘Million Tears,’ a compilation of hope-filled laments.
Savich recorded at The Poole Room in Franklin, TN with three-time Academy of Country Music Keyboard/Piano Player of the Year, Gordon Mote, alongside an accomplished studio band that brought Niki’s vision to life. “To have Gordon leading this group of such stellar musicians, all playing over a dozen different instruments on the album, was truly an unforgettable and amazing experience,” shares Niki Lou.
“Valley Of Shadow And Light” presents the refreshing perspective of one who knows that dying is only a doorway to life beyond. The lyrics express an anticipation, even an excitement, at the prospect of what lies beyond the grave. The joyful bluegrass cadence of the music invites the listener to join in the celebration of an ebbing earthly life flowing into the glory of an eternal life to come.
“I was weighing the thought of my death one day next to the joy I have in looking forward to the hope of heaven. I realized that the valley of the shadow of death truly is the ‘Valley Of Shadow And Light.'” This song encourages my heart as I believe in the promises of the glorious life to come “on the other side.”
Following the release of “Valley Of Shadow And Light,” listeners can look forward to the second single, “Home,” to be released on Friday, September 13, 2024, before the full album’s release on Friday, October 11, 2024. Million Tears, composed of twelve original songs, invites the listener to trust a faithful God while drawing on His comfort and hope amid sorrow and suffering. The experience of death itself, while handled tenderly, is viewed as a transition for the believer from this world into the glory and joy of heaven.
