Christian rap/hip-hop artist K-Anthony has released the song, “God is Good,” which was written by Kevin Anthony Fowler, Da T.R.U.T.H. and Kevin Downswell. It was produced by Dwain Barbwiya Campbell. It is high tempo, rhythmic, with catchy lyrics but a profound message—that God is always good. The song features collaboration from gospel music anointed singer Kevin Downswell and veteran christian rap artiste Da T.R.U.T.H.
It is man’s duty to declare the goodness of God. This song is a call to praise, which raises praise to a higher level as it sounds the goodness of God. “God is Good” is saying that under no uncertain terms we have all received goodness at the hands of God. God doesn’t wait until we are good to show us goodness, but instead has always pursued us with His love.

Da T.R.U.T.H. is both lyrical and potent as he supplies his catchy rap style to verse 2. The message is raw, relatable and relevant. God’s goodness shows up in our lives every single day. Although we often think of His goodness when something big happens, His goodness abounds all the time-in every hour, minute, and second of the day, and in the smallest of things all around us. He provides food and shelter—”God is Good.”
Kevin Downswell delivers a powerful and soulful verse 3. A bonafide praise raiser, he holds back nothing but pours his heart into each line. One of the most faith driven lines from the song comes from this verse, “You got to believe it and keep on walking until He proves it.” There is power in believing. So if God is Good, that means His actions towards us will always be for our good. “Even when you don’t feel it, you just know it”, and so you know that what is coming is going to be good.
The song will give new meaning to a phrase we often take as a cliche, “God is Good.” You will want to raise your hands, lift your voice and dance because God’s goodness is something that reaches out to each and every one of us; christians and non-christians.
