Brightstar, a dynamic rock band founded in 2024 by principal songwriter Adam Wood and lead co-vocalist Jessi Enyiaku, is set to make waves in the music industry with their emotionally resonant sound. Drawing inspiration from bands like Evanescence, Brightstar offers a unique twist that connects deeply with listeners.
Their debut single, “Fading Echoes,” released digitally in January 2025, has garnered widespread acclaim for its heartfelt lyrics and powerful vocals. Produced by Dan Schmalz of Artist First Productions and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Brad Blackwood, the track showcases the band’s commitment to quality and emotional depth.
While both Wood and Enyiaku are open about their faith and involvement in the church community (Wood is an ordained lead pastor and Enyiaku is a worship leader), their music transcends boundaries, aiming to resonate with people from all walks of life. “A lot of Christian music touches on the positives, but we live through a lot of different seasons, even as Christians. I want us to be able to talk about those things. We’ve been through divorce, we’re raising kids with special needs … life isn’t always easy, and mental health is important! People need guidance on how to process through these things, too,” says Wood.
With over 25 years of experience in the music industry as an artist manager, radio promoter, and marketing executive, Wood has now turned his creative energies toward his own musical endeavors. “I’ve always told myself I was going to record music, and now that I’m 41, I suppose it’s time,” he reflects.
Enyiaku’s exceptional talent is a driving force behind the band’s sound. Wood remarks, “Jessi is the real talent in the mix, and I think that’s obvious when you’re listening.”
Looking ahead, Brightstar has ambitious plans for 2025, including the development of a full-length album. In the meantime, listeners can stream “Fading Echoes” on major platforms and sign up for the band’s mailing list to stay updated on future releases and news.
