Rising Christian music artist Coby James has just released perhaps one of the most personal and emotional songs we have heard in a very long time. “Happier” is an open letter to his grandfather that he has not seen since he was a baby. This song would be considered highly emotional written by anyone—the fact that it was penned by 17-year old Coby further emphasizes the hurt, pain and questions Coby has felt.

Coby’s who is just 17 has already been compared to Shawn Mendes and his previous single “Trouble” was immediately picked up by Sirius XM Coffee House. He continues to travel the country as the opening act for Danny Gokey‘s 31-city tour.
