Continuing the visual narrative of his Hello Jesus album, Christian hip-hop artist GodFrame has released a new music video for his song “Be Anything (feat. A. Cheatham).” The new video premiered last night via GodFrame’s FB Live.

The song, produced by GodFrame and A. Cheatham, centers on the chorus, “Circumstances held you back for way too long/In the darkness there’s a light to come and take you home,” which GodFrame believes is a line that many people can resonate with.

Watch it here:

He says, “It’s a simple lyric, but it’s true. Many of us are dying inside because of past hurts—either from things that were done to us or things we did to ourselves. And it’s easy to let those circumstances hold us hostage, believing the web of lies spun by the devil—that we’re not worthy of love; that our story ends with our struggle; that we can only become what we’ve seen.”

The video, directed by Ray Knowledge and produced by GodFrame’s media production group Lamar Haaley Creative, depicts the story of a young girl’s struggle to cope with her father’s sexual abuse.

“In the midst of our darkest chaos, we can still find hope in Jesus,” GodFrame continues. “It might sound cliche, but it’s what believers really believe. God is a healer and a redeemer. There is no pain, guilt, or shame that is too deep for Him to make whole.”

GodFrame hopes the video will encourage viewers to put their faith in God in response to whatever darkness they face. He says, “Nobody’s too broken for God to heal. The end of our story doesn’t have to be written by where we’ve been. It’s written by the King of the universe. And with Him, anything is possible.”
