The Story Behind the Song
In 2023, Grace Aggrey-Fynn, based in Accra, Ghana, composed God is On Your Side, drawing from her own spiritual journey and desire to share God’s love through music. Early in 2024, she began seeking funding to record the track, eventually turning to the Christian crowdfunding platform, GiveSendGo. Though her initial efforts to raise money fell short, a surprising twist occurred in June when Grace entered a giveaway hosted by GiveSendGo. Sharing a heartfelt video testimony about her interest in the crowdfunding site, she was chosen as one of five winners, receiving $1,200, part of which she spent to record the song.

Grace recalls, “Initially, I thought, ‘I never win anything,’ but I decided to step out in faith, and God truly came through. This song is a testimony to His goodness in my life.”

The track was recorded and published by Demo My Song, a New York-based recording company owned by Trystan Matthews, and its publishing arm, 5050 Songs. Known for their work with independent artists, Demo My Song helped bring Grace’s vision to life with professional production that captures the essence of her powerful message.
