PRAY.COM, the No. 1 app for prayer and faith-based content, is excited to join with INDYCAR driver Sting Ray Robb – #41 with AJ Foyt Racing – to host “Race Day Reads with Sting Ray Robb.” In each short episode – the perfect length for young people on the go – the up-and-coming driver shares a personally meaningful Bible verse and how it has been impactful in his own life and spiritual journey. Listeners will appreciate his authenticity and transparency and will come to understand that every day is “race day” when it comes to living a life with purpose and meaning.
“Sting Ray is an exceptional young man with wisdom beyond his years, and we are honored to have him as part of the PRAY.COM family,” said Founder and CEO Steve Gatena. “His ‘Race Day Reads’ are relevant and timely, and align perfectly with our mission to help people incorporate prayer into their daily lives.”
“We are truly inspired by Sting Ray’s profound maturity and spiritual insight at just 22 years old, and are thrilled to welcome him to our platform to engage with our audience,” adds Co-founder Matthew Potter.. “As an INDYCAR driver, Sting Ray uniquely interprets the Bible’s frequent metaphor of the ‘race’—a concept he lives out both on and off the track. His reflections on faith promise to uplift and motivate everyone navigating the race of life.”
As a professional athlete, Robb has made it clear that his faith is very important to him, and he wants to use the platform that racing provides to help other people see that there is hope and purpose for their lives.
“Prayer is such an important part of spiritual health and well-being, and I want to help others see that,” Robb said. “It’s about connecting with God and growing to understand His purpose for our lives. He wants to have a personal relationship with us through prayer, and it’s the catalyst for changing us and helping us to become who we are meant to be.”
The team surrounding Robb is just as committed to his goals and appreciates PRAY.COM’s support and alignment with his desire to promote the importance and power of prayer in people’s lives. Philip Peters, Director of Faith-Based Initiatives for Robb, explains: “There is a massive need for guys to hear from a peer or role model that is living in the world of a very competitive sport, yet leaning not on his own strength. The story God is writing in Sting Ray’s life is just beginning, and we are grateful he’s letting us all in on the ride.”
