Durham, NC
Renowned crooner Jason Nelson and the soulful songstress Madison Ryann Ward have joined forces for a captivating duet, “Made New” (Jaelyn Song/Tyscot / Fair Trade), which has garnered over 260,000 streams since its digital release on May 10th. This mellow track, featuring dreamy backing vocals and a redemptive lyrical message, is poised to become a Quiet Storm radio classic. Recorded live at World Overcomers Christian Church in Durham, North Carolina, “Made New” is part of Nelson’s highly anticipated album, You Belong: Live in Durham, set to release on June 7th.
Discovering a Star
“I saw a post Madison made singing ‘God is Good’ by Jonathan McReynolds,” Nelson recalls. “That 45 seconds instantly made me a fan. I followed her music releases and reached out to see if she’d be interested in being a part of the recording, and she agreed.” The track, polished by producer Dana Sorey (known for his work with Eric Roberson, Algebra Blessett, and Boyz II Men), perfectly showcases the blend of Nelson’s smooth tenor and Ward’s powerful voice.
A Shared Vision
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this song,” Ward says. “My prayer is that anyone who hears it will be equally as blessed. The message is something to be celebrated…praise God we are made new.”
