“When people hear this new music, I want them to walk away thinking about how amazing the church is,” says multi-Grammy®–nominated and platinum-selling artist Tauren Wells. With his upcoming EP, Let The Church Sing, set for release on March 21, 2025, Wells aims to inspire worshippers with a renewed sense of community and faith.

The EP marks a significant moment in Wells’ career, intertwining his musical artistry with his deep-rooted commitment to ministry. In January 2024, he and his wife, Lorna, founded Church of Whitestone in Austin, Texas. The church launched with nearly 4,000 attendees on its first weekend—making it the largest first-day church opening in American history. The experience shaped Let The Church Sing, as Wells found himself more immersed in worship music than ever before.

“For as long as I’ve been an artist, I’ve always been on staff at a church,” Wells explains. “However, I’ve never written from the lens of being involved in a church and planted in the house of the Lord at this level. When we started the church, it was a major spiritual process and excavation into the heart. A lot of songs came from the birth of our church.”

Blending contemporary Christian, gospel, and pop influences, Let The Church Sing features a collection of worship anthems, including his recent tracks “Making Room” and “Thank You For The Cross.” The songwriting process evolved alongside the growth of Whitestone’s congregation, reflecting themes of faith, renewal, and spiritual unity.

The project was first introduced in October 2024 with the release of “Making Room.” The track features soft piano, rhythmic guitar, and a swelling vocal performance as Wells sings, “We’re making room for a miracle from you, all we want is your presence, turn this room into heaven, we call your name.”

A celebrated musician and pastor, Wells has spent nearly a decade bridging faith and artistry. His career includes 10 GRAMMY® nominations, eight GMA Dove Awards, and a Billboard Music Award nomination. He has earned seven #1 hits, over 1.2 billion global streams, and collaborated with artists across genres, from Academy® Award winner H.E.R. to rock band Skillet. His dynamic performances have shared stages with legends such as Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey.

In addition to his music career, Wells co-leads Church of Whitestone, where he integrates family, faith, and ministry. He is also preparing to release his first book and continues his podcast, The High Note, expanding his reach beyond music.

“Let The Church Sing” serves as a reflection of his evolving mission—to create music that calls believers into worship and celebrates the power of faith.
