What an exciting 2023 it has been for Lauren Daigle. Already a multi-platinum artist, Daigle has had a record-breaking year fueled by her self-titled release. Besides becoming the first artist to hold the No. 1 spot atop the Hot Christian Songs Chart for an astounding 20 weeks twice with her recent hit “Thank God I Do” and “You Say”, she’s received two GRAMMY Award nominations, has won her twelfth GMA Dove Award, eighth Billboard Music Award and topped five billion streams. These accomplishments, and her irrefutable ability and desire to bring CCM music and messages of hope to a mainstream, global audience are unparalleled.
“My faith has always been at the core of what I do and still is. I am constantly reminded of how fortunate I am to see how people connect, not only to the songs, to each other but also to God and their faith,” shares Daigle. “The stories I hear from people I meet on the road, who have said the songs see them through tough times, inspires me greatly. I am so thankful and blessed to have the opportunity to share these songs and hear that they’re connecting whether on the radio, in their car, streaming in earbuds or live in concert. That’s all an artist can hope for is for the music to connect and inspire people.”
Daigle has been on the road with The Kaleidoscope Tour since early September with sold-out arenas and just added 33 shows for 2024, extending the tour that she has said has been ‘the time of her life’.
Since bursting onto the scene with her Platinum Certified debut, How Can It Be, Daigle has brought CCM to the world-wide stage. Her songs “Rescue” and the groundbreaking GRAMMY-winning song “You Say”, have become mainstays on the charts and have helped propel the two-time GRAMMY Award winner to superstardom. In addition to her GRAMMY wins, Daigle has earned eight Billboard Music, four American Music, twelve GMA Dove Awards, and has performed over 200 sold-out headline shows around the globe.
When Look Up Child debuted at No. 3 on the Top 200 Albums chart, Daigle became the first female artist in history to simultaneously hit the Top 10 on both Billboard’s Pop and Christian Album charts. She went on to break another record when the LP reached 100 weeks at No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart, which is the greatest number of weeks that any artist has spent at the top of any individual album chart. Similarly, the six-time Platinum “You Say” is the longest-running No. 1 to appear on any weekly Billboard chart.
Her recent Mike Elizondo-produced, 23-song, self-titled album’s debut single, “Thank God I Do,” gave Daigle her 6th Billboard No. 1. In fact, the song sat atop the chart for 20+ weeks, making Daigle the only artist to have ever had a song top the charts for more than 20 weeks – twice. It’s these accomplishments that seem to have consistently followed an artist whose musical thirst and desire to bring joy and hope to the world has yet to be quenched.
