Lifest Music City has announced the addition of the band Sidewalk Prophets to perform at their event to be held at Hideaway Farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee, July 29-31, 2021. With five #1 hit songs and eight top 5 national hits, Sidewalk Prophets has solidified its place in the Christian music genre in the past few years. Though the pandemic affected the touring schedule of the band as it did so many other artists, Sidewalk Prophets pivoted quickly to a virtual online tour, and the response, according to band member Dave Frey, has been overwhelming.
“We were on our way back from the West Coast finishing our spring tour last year and getting ready to play a sold-out show at Ryman Auditorium and then the country shut down,” says Frey. “We began doing live stream concerts ever since. We found out there are a lot of people who actually prefer the ability to watch these concerts in the privacy of their own homes. We work really hard to add connection points for the audience during the live shows. These connection points may be zooming with fans, taking questions during the show, or offering props used in the set during the shows. The best part of the live stream shows has been the online community that has been cultivated. We have this close-knit group of fans that come to every show. They know each other and look forward to connecting each night. It’s really special!”
Sidewalk Prophets has a long-standing relationship with Lifest, having performed at the Lifest event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on numerous occasions. Frey says he believes the event will be a boost to the Nashville music community.
“We’ve been friends and big supporters of Lifest for many years now,” says Frey. “In Wisconsin, they have created a really amazing event that has changed the culture of the surrounding areas in a profound way. We’re excited for the Lifest team to bring that same energy to the Music City, and to see how the event helps bring this great community closer together.”
In addition to the Sidewalk Prophets, headline acts for Lifest Music City include Newsboys, Skillet, Matthew West, Danny Gokey, Lecrae, with others still being added.
This family-friendly event will mark Hideaway Farm’s first music festival and will benefit Dignity Revolution, a movement supporting mental health and wellness which educates youth to overcome bullying and stand up for the value of every person.
Camping will be available for the duration of the festival, as well as food vendors, marketplace shops, and activities for children. From now until March 31, tickets for the 3-day event are on sale for just $60 for adults, $30 for ages 8 to 15.
