Matt McCoy is a worship leader and songwriter from Chicago, IL. He released his first album in 2008, “Raise the Flag Again”, selling more than 8,000 copies independently. His latest album, “Heaven Calling”, is a full length worship album which includes 13 original songs for the church. Matt and his band travel leading worship for conferences, churches and other events around the country. Born and raised as a Pastors Kid in San Diego California, Matt now resides in Chicago, IL where he has served as a worship leader at Willow Creek Community Church and Harvest Bible Chapel.

Matt’s worship leading has been known for incorporating electronic music and loops in his worship sets – controlling Loops on the fly with foot controllers and Ableton Live software. “I’ve been using Ableton since 2004 and my live performances haven’t been the same since. Ableton allows you to incorporate studio sounds in a live setting, while still maintaing creative musical control”, says Matt. In 2011, Matt became an Ableton Certified Trainer and teaches workshops and private lessons to audio production students, as well as worship conferences around the country.

In 2011 he co-founded LoopCommunity.com, a resource for worship leaders, musicians and churches to distribute original Loops, Multi-Tracks and Sample Libraries for their worship services. Matt is currently writing songs for his forthcoming album, to be released through LoopCommunity.com
