Noel Robinson, the influential worship leader and pioneering figure in the UK gospel music community, is ushering in 2025 with his uplifting new single, Joy Unspeakable. Featuring the award-winning Philippa Hanna, this soul-stirring track is a radiant expression of hope and encouragement, reminding us of the timeless truth that “the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10).

This vibrant fusion of pop and gospel was co-written with the esteemed Nicole Binion and Nathan Fellingham, further enhancing its depth and emotional resonance. Joy Unspeakable transcends the boundaries of mere music, standing as a beacon of encouragement for those navigating the challenges of life. Noel Robinson’s legacy is rooted in his unwavering commitment to the local church, a foundation that has shaped his 30-plus years of ministry. Inspired by his father, also a musician, Noel began contributing to Sunday worship as a child. By 13, he was playing double bass for his school orchestra, earning recognition in competitions and opportunities to travel. Later, he delved into jazz improvisation and composition, bringing these skills back into the house of God to enrich worship experiences.
His early involvement with London’s Church of God of Prophecy led to his role as the movement’s national music and communications director. From there, Noel partnered with prominent Christian ministries, including Spring Harvest, Reinhard Bonnke’s Christ for All Nations, Baptist Assembly, and the Elim network of churches. He also became a familiar face on BBC’s Songs of Praise and founded Renewal Worship Encounters, which recently celebrated 12 impactful years.

Noel’s music is a unique blend of contemporary worship and gospel influences, resonating with believers from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. A five-time MOBO nominee, Noel has traveled the globe, leading and teaching worship leaders across diverse cultures. His discography includes six albums, featuring beloved anthems such as Rain and You Give Me Life, as well as award-winning songs from his 2018 release I Surrender, including He’s Able and Faithful God. In 2022, his single You Are Unrivalled continued to solidify his status as a trailblazer in the UK Christian music scene. Notably, in 2015, he became the first Black British worship leader to sign with Integrity Music globally.
