The Provident Music Group family of artists, labels, songwriters and publishers are pleased to announce they received a total of 16 GMA Dove Award wins at the 49th Annual GMA Dove Awards. Held Tuesday, October 16 in Nashville, TN at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena, the awards will air on TBN this coming Sunday, October 21.

Provident Music Group earned some of the top honors with Zach Williams being named Artist of the Year, and Tauren Wells named New Artist of the Year and Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year. Essential Music Publishing’s Paul Mabury and Jason Ingram won Producer of the Year. Each of these winners also won other awards in various categories listed below. RCA Inspiration‘s artists walked away with top song honors with artists Koryn Hawthorne, Travis Greene and Marvin Sapp.

Wells went into the awards leading the industry with seven nominations, (including Song of the Year, Songwriter – Artist, New Artist, Pop/Contemporary Album, Contemporary Christian Artist, Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song, Rap/Hip-Hop Recorded Song) and Zach Williams was nominated for six (Artist of the Year, Songwriter – Artist, Song of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song, Contemporary Christian Artist, Bluegrass/Country/ Roots Recorded Song). RCA Inspiration’s Travis Greene received three nominations (Gospel Artist, Urban Worship Recorded Song, Urban Worship Album). In addition, Essential Music Publishing and its writers received 27 nominations.
