NASHVILLE, TN
Christian singer/songwriter and American Idol alum Rachel Hale will debut her new song, “Louder”at the NCAA Cure Bowl, December 20, 2024.
“Louder” is a powerful anthem for those living with cancer and the loved ones joining them on that journey. The single is co-written with Grammy-nominated songwriter Jamie Floyd and hitmaker Jimmy Thow, and produced by Grammy-winning producer Jonathon Crone who has previously collaborated with Hale on fan-favorites like “Promised Land” and “Just Breathe.”
Hale will debut “Louder” during the first quarter break of the StaffDNA Cure Bowl, airing on ABC and ESPN. As part of this special performance, Hale will be joined on the field by cancer survivors, amplifying the song’s heartfelt message of hope and resilience. Proceeds from “Louder” will benefit the Cure Bowl, a platform that has raised $3.88 million for cancer research since its inception.
“Like too many others across the globe, cancer has left a deep impact on my own life,” shares Hale. “I lost my Grandma Peggy to cancer, and my dad overcame it when I was in high school. ‘Louder’ is my prayer for those currently living with cancer, those we have lost and their loved ones. It’s a fight song and a call for hope that together, we can find a cure.”
Ahead of the game, Hale will perform “God Bless America” to honor the Cure Bowl’s 10th anniversary. The Cure Bowl, hosted in Orlando, Florida, has been pivotal in funding groundbreaking cancer research, including $1.5 million awarded to Dr. Annette Khaled of UCF’s College of Medicine’s Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences.
Fans attending the game can also participate in “Hale on Wheels” at FanFest, where Hale will be creating a holiday shopping destination featuring her brand partners like jeweler Kendra Scott and Florida-based studio artist Jenna Alexander, and sharing Christmas cheer with her paleo snickerdoodles, the Santa Reindoodle. Twenty percent of these proceeds will go to the StaffDNA Cure Bowl.
“This is more than just a performance,” Hale said. “It’s a celebration of life, a tribute to those fighting cancer, and an opportunity to give back. Being part of such an impactful cause is an honor.”
