Selah’s Firm Foundation album won the Gospel Music Association’s Inspirational Album of the Year, as announced during the 51st Annual Dove Awards Pre-Telecast Awards Presentation last night.

“After almost 24 years in the industry we are so happy and grateful that our peers still recognize our work,” the band says. “A huge thanks to the team at Integrity Music, Marcus Rixon and Falon Simmons of Rixon Entertainment, the songwriters, musicians, and our producers Jason Kyle, Chris Bevins, and Brent Milligan.”

In addition to Inspirational Album of the Year, the group won Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year for “Yet Not I, But Through Christ In Me.”

The awards mark Selah’s 9th and 10th career Dove Award wins (and 6th Inspirational Album of the Year win), and kick off an exciting time for the band, who will release its 16th album, Step Into My Story, on Friday, November 6.

Selah means “pause” in Hebrew — a concept which plays a thematic role in the group’s new album, their first record to be released on their newly-formed label, 3Cre8tive. With Step Into My Story releasing the same week as our nation’s presidential election, Selah is hoping its songs offer a sense of unity and a reason to pause, take a breath and reflect.

The first track, “Step Into My Story,” is available at all DSPs now.
