Inspirational Country trio Small Town Sunday is thrilled to announce the release of their powerful new single, ‘Chasing You.’

‘Chasing You’ was inspired by the familiar saying, “That dog’s chasing that car, but he wouldn’t know what to do with it if he caught it!” Small Town Sunday takes this old adage and transforms it into a message of hope, reminding us that while we may not always know what lies ahead, God does. As the lyrics reflect, “God will know exactly what to do with us, where to place us, and how to use us if we just keep chasing Him.”

The song’s release is timely, as it coincides with a popular cultural trend that carries a deep spiritual meaning. You may have noticed the simple “41” tattoo becoming more widespread. With a little investigation, the significance becomes clear:

  • David killed Goliath on Day 41.
  • Noah received the sun on Day 41.
  • Jesus began his earthly ministry on Day 41.

These examples serve as powerful reminders that breakthroughs often come after persistent pursuit. As Small Town Sunday encourages in Chasing You, “Just keep on chasing, and your Day 41 will come!” The band also uses the metaphor of the windshield being bigger than the rearview mirror as a call to keep moving forward, trusting in the journey and not looking back.

“We wanted to create a song that motivates people to keep their eyes on God, to continue pursuing Him even when the road seems long and uncertain,” says the band. “There’s a reason the windshield is bigger than the rearview—so don’t turn around! Keep moving forward, and trust that your Day 41 is just ahead.”
