Could it really happen? Could four of the most influential bands in Christian rock history join forces for the ultimate faith-fueled rock tour? Michael Sweet of Stryper has sent the CCM world into a frenzy with his cryptic post about a “Big 4” Tour—featuring Stryper, Skillet, P.O.D., and (wait for it…) DC Talk.

Yes, DC Talk. The legendary trio that gave us Jesus Freak, Supernatural, and an era of music that defined an entire generation. This would be the first time DC Talk has played a proper full tour together since the Solo Freak Cruise in 2001/2002.

So, let’s break it down. Who headlines? Who opens? Where would they play? And is Michael Sweet just stirring the pot, or are actual plans in motion?

Who Would Open? Who Would Headline?

  • This is Christian rock’s Avengers moment. But when you put four heavyweights on the same bill, someone has to go first, and someone gets the prime-time slot.

Opening Act: P.O.D.

  • Kicking things off, the West Coast warriors of faith-driven reggae infused rock will bring the heat.  Could you imagine this tour kicking off with anything better than Sonny Sandoval shouting… whatever that word he shouts at the beginning of “Here comes the BOOM!” is.

Monsters of the Midway: Skillet

  • If there’s one thing John Cooper & Co. don’t do, it’s go small. Their set will likely feature fire, smoke, LED screens, cryo-shooting gloves, and possibly a Carman style battle between angels and demons staged with stunt actors….  a kid can dream. Skillet is one of the biggest Christian rock bands today, and you better believe they’ll bring the epic energy.

Co-Headliner: DC Talk

  • This is it. The moment fans have waited for. It’s been way too long since TobyMac, Michael Tait, and Kevin Max shared a full tour together. Their set? A journey through the greatest hits of Christian music history… but they need to save one song for the ultimate supergroup encore.

Headliner: Stryper

  • SOLDIERS ASSEMBLE: Michael Sweet started this conversation, so of course, Stryper is closing it down. The pioneers of Christian metal will bring face-melting solos, stadium-level energy, and a few flying Bibles (yes, really). After closing out the show with “To Hell with the Devil” the crowd begins to chant for one more song.

Encore:

  • You guessed it all the members of Stryper, Skillet, P.O.D., and DCTalk return to stage for open giant show stopping finale: Jesus Freak !

But Wait… Is Michael Sweet Serious?

Michael Sweet is a visionary. He’s a man who has seen both the glory of God and the power of Rock n Roll—and somehow combined them. But does that mean this tour is actually happening?

Here’s what we know:

  1. Michael Sweet posted the idea.
  2. The bands tagged (Skillet, P.O.D., and DC Talk) have not denied it.
  3. No official announcements. No leaked contracts.
  4. Final Verdict: Will It Happen?

As of now, this is pure speculation. But if Michael Sweet has his way—and if enough fans demand it—this could be the biggest Christian rock tour of all time. I believe 3 out of 4 is very possible. A Skillet/Stryper/POD tour seems completely feasible and sounds like a lot of fun.

But hey… We believe in miracles.
