Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN was packed on Sunday, February 16th, with over 10,000 fans in attendance and ready for a night of high-energy music, deep worship, and a setlist that spanned 30+ years. As expected, TobyMac delivered.
The crowd was a true mix of generations—while Cain brought in younger fans, it was nice to see TobyMac’s audience was filled with parents who have been with him for decades, now sharing his music with their kids. And those kids? They knew EVERY word.
Among them were our kids – Georgia (9), Golda (9), and Ryker (12)—who came ready to experience every moment for the first time.
“TobyMac’s concert was amazing!!! (I told Daddy to put THREE exclamation marks!)” – Golda
Let’s start with our headliner…

TobyMac hit the stage—and never slowed down.
With a setlist featuring over 20 songs, Toby moved seamlessly through three decades of hits, balancing newer, deeper material with nods and samples of the anthems fans have loved since the start of his solo career.
But one moment in particular had OG fans screaming— after a DJ set featuring an unexpected Neil Diamond sing along – Toby reemerged to perform a portion of the Toby / GRITS classic “Ooh Ahh.”
And then the moment we classic fans were waiting for, Toby went into the second half of the first rap in “Jesus Freak” and a dramatic version of the chorus – it was short, but sweet!
Even so, classic anthems like “Made to Love,” “Diverse City,” “Me Without You”, “Lose My Soul” and so many more had the entire arena singing along.
Toby’s energy shined during the songs from his upcoming record “Heaven on My Mind” which drops March 7. I became overwhelmed with emotion during this show on multiple levels. Toby was a more vulnerable performer than I ever had seen him be before.

To top it off, special guest appearances from Jon Reddick (“Nothin’ Sweeter”) and Blessing Offor (“The Goodness”) checked the “Only In Nashville” box.
Whether you came for entertainment, worship, a dash of nostalgia, or just a great night of music, the Hits Deep Tour delivered on every level.
With massive singalongs, emotional highs, and high-energy production, TobyMac proved once again why he’s not only on the Mount Rushmore of Christian Music, but in contention for GOAT status —and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Now let’s back it up to the start of the show…
Ryan Stevenson:
Ryan Stevenson kicked things off, bringing his signature blend of pop and worship to the stage. The Gotee Records artist (who longtime Christian music fans know from hits like Eye of the Storm) had a solid set that warmed up the crowd.

Crowder:
After Stevenson, Crowder took over and brought the house down with his mix of country, rock, and worship. He kicked off his set with the massive radio hit “Grave Robber.” His transition from the David Crowder Band days to full-fledged southern rock frontman was unexpected for us fans from the Passion days—but he owned it. It was more of a show than I expected. While it had moments of worship, it was a driving rock experience. One of the highlights was Crowder paying homage to Hank Williams with a rousing cover of “I Saw the Light” and “I’ll Fly Away.” The set ended with the massive Crowder hit “Good God Almighty” which was a crowd favorite.

Terrian:
One of the night’s most exciting moments came when Terrian took the second stage. A familiar face to longtime TobyMac fans, until this tour she was known as a vocalist in Toby’s Diverse City Band—but now, she’s stepping into her own spotlight as a Gotee Records artist. Rocking a Nashville Predators jersey, a few familiar band members, and a powerhouse vocal – her short set showcased why she’s one to watch.

Cain:
While Terrian was performing you could see big set pieces being placed on the main stage. Then came a group led countdown that reminded me of the dcTalk 1996 Freak Show Tour. Cain hit the stage and the family band delivered on their promise of pure fun from start to finish. Imagine a ‘70s variety show for Jesus come to life—bright, energetic, colorful, choreographed and loaded with harmonies.
Ryker (12) was impressed by their production value and energy:
“Cain had impressive set design and great wardrobe.” – Ryker
Meanwhile, Georgia (9) and Golda (9) were ALL about the merch table:
“Cain had the best merch.” – Georgia
“And Cain’s merch was the most affordable.” – Golda
Final Verdict: A Five-Star Night of Faith, Fun, and Unforgettable Music
