In my letter from CCM Magazine’s last edition, I took the opportunity to challenge all of us to fully live in Him. I’m not sure we could publish a better example of this, than to share the legacy of Joey Feek.
Whether you have been tuned into CCM’s website or social channels—or directly to Joey + Rory’s blog, This Life I Live—there’s more than a great chance you know or have been following the Feek family story. In an earlier blog entry Joey’s husband, Rory Feek, eloquently talked about living for Him:
“It’s hard for me to feel slighted, when I know that the career that Joey and I have had … you can’t be in awe of an amazing road that God leads you down, and then be any less in awe of a corner that He has you turn. I think in the end… the good and the bad, He just wants us to give it to Him. And so we do.” (for this, and the Feek’s full story, please go to ThisLifeILive.com).
If you’re reading this, like me, you have a pulse. If this kind of response to personal tragedy doesn’t fire you up to immediately rush out and live for Him, please go to the doctor. We are honored to publish one of Joey’s last interviews in the following pages of our April 1, 2016 issue. As we remember her life—and focus on her family’s faith—let’s always ask, “Christ, how can You use me on earth, today?”
Blessings,
