Brother James ‘I Had to Dig’ – single

Brother James
‘I Had to Dig’ – single
(Independent)

Brother James is the spiritual artist moniker of LA-based producer and singer/songwriter Justin James Sinclair, originally from Carpinteria, California. Born into a musical family, he started playing instruments and writing songs from a young age. Influenced equally by classic songwriters like Paul McCartney and Randy Newman, as he is by great authors like Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, and Flannery O’Connor. Brother James infuses his songs with deep personal reflection. His work is also influenced strongly by monks and monastic values. His latest track is “I Had To Dig” and focuses on a conversation with a monk named Cyprian. It is in the troubadour style of Bob Dylan and has some strong spiritual undertones.
