Alex McKee (artist name I.AM) is a worship leader in Los Angeles, who originally hales from the UK. He recently released his debut EP, 150.1. It’s a collection of emotionally honest Psalms set to a lo-fi, electronic soundscape.

“The inspiration for the project came when my co-writer and I went through an incredibly difficult season of ministry. We took solace when we realized that we don’t always have to be positive or happy to be in the presence of God. The Psalms provided us language for processing anger and grief, which led to us wanting to create songs that provided that same catharsis.” —Alex McKee
