Sidewalk Prophets | ‘Looking Up’

Sidewalk Prophets turns their gaze heavenward on “Looking Up.” Detailing a convicting encounter with a homeless man, the powerful ballad shares a meaningful conversation that leads to some self-evaluation. The choir-assisted duet boasts a rustic vocal from “American Idol” alum Megan Danielle alongside a poignant delivery from frontman Dave Frey. The pair performed the new song together when Sidewalk Prophets made their Grand Ole Opry debut earlier this year. “Looking Up (feat. Megan Danielle)” serves as the title-cut of the group’s forthcoming studio album, arriving Feb. 14, 2025.

On their fifth studio album, Looking Up, Sidewalk Prophets explores what it means to be a follower of Christ, encouraging listeners to extend grace to themselves and forgiveness to others. With songs extolling virtues like humility, kindness and generosity, the 15-track collection is a call for a little less misunderstanding and a little more empathy. Featuring guest vocals from singer/songwriter Ben Fuller and “American Idol” alum Megan Danielle, ‘Looking Up’ blends the thoughtful lyricism and signature storytelling the Dove Award-winning band has long been known for.
