All Is Calm, All Is Bright: Songs of Christmas  (Lucid Artist)
by Various Artists

FOR FANS OF: Cindy Morgan, Jaci Velasquez, Andrew Greer
Rating: 4 Stars

Several of Christian music’s biggest names representing multiple styles converge on this advent album, split between eleven classics and two new tunes. The highlight reel is essentially endless, including Melinda Doolittle and Ginny Owens’ acoustically framed “Child In The Manger,” Montell Jordan’s soulful “The First Noel” and Cindy Morgan’s piano-centered “Angels We Have Heard On High,” all tied together by cozy production continuity from Dove-nominated troubadour Andrew Greer (who also dazzles on a duet of the ageless “Ave Maria” with the incomparable Sandi Patty).
