A grand collision of folk and worship, I Am They bursts forth with a lively and intricate debut album. With tinges of bluegrass on the songs “We Are Yours” and “Even Me,” the band showcases their versatility over the course of the album to expertly span the ground between folk, country, and modern worship. The softly lilting, “Amen” is both simple and intricately crafted featuring a string arrangement layered perfectly with a strong vocal performance. The Carson City based sextet succeeds on almost every front in their initial release and we can’t wait to hear more.
