What are the holidays without a little fun? Well, if you’re looking to add a LOT of F.U.N.—that’s a, “Funky-Unique-Navidad”—and shake up your traditional Christmas playlist, strongly consider this short-but-stacked 5-track EP from MARi titled Have Yourself A MARi Little Christmas (buy). This one features the classics including, “O Christmas Tree,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” and our favorite “Carol Of The Bells”—but we doubt you’ve tasted Christmas spices quite like these. Mari Burelle calls New York City home, but her Puerto Rican and Cuban roots infuse everything she does, including a host of Latin flair on these yuletide favorites. We’d give this one a full “5/5 Stars” but wanted so much more music when we got to the end of the five songs on the EP. Don’t be a Grinch, get some global-beats going to your Christmas jams and before you know it, you and yours will also be enjoying a MARi little Christmas!
