Beauty Is…The Final Sessions  (AmeriMonte Records)
by Ray Price

FOR FANS OF: Hank Williams, George Jones, Willie Nelson
Rating: 4 Stars

We lost Ray Price at 87 late last year, but the country/gospel legend lives on in this final recording, which also serves as a posthumous love letter to his longtime wife. Price’s tender delivery over traditional country and pop arrangements will simply never go out of style. A fitting tribute from “The Cherokee Cowboy,” who remained committed to his family, faith and craft until the very end of his courageous battle with cancer.
