If you’re looking for new set of summer jams, then you might want to tune into the latest set of earworms from The Rubyz. I’ll Follow You is a straightforward, feel good EP that feels as youthful as the vocalists performing the material—two 14-year-olds and one 17-year-old to be specific. Chuck Butler’s (Backstreet Boys, Mandisa, TobyMac) production delivers a slick, polished feel to the five album tracks, with songs like the self-worth anthem “Breathtakingly Beautiful” and the declarative “I’ll Follow You” serving as the album’s strongest tracks. That said, there is one odd inclusion at the end: a juvenile remake of “Angels We Have Heard on High,” that feels very out of place both thematically and musically.
