Members of Big Daddy Weave have built a career on redemption songs. However, putting the promises that populate the messages of their biggest hits to practice, that has become a real-life test of faith. Andrew Greer sits down with frontman Mike Weaver to talk about how their recent hardships inspired their new album and more.

In anticipation of the upcoming holiday season, Big Daddy Weave has released a brand-new Christmas song, “Joy! He Shall Reign.” Lead singer Mike Weaver wrote the triumphant track with Michael Farren, Tony Wood and Danny Davis. “Joy! He Shall Reign” is available now on all digital platforms.

Christian music fan favorite Big Daddy Weave has had a very busy and eventful season of life. In the midst of trials and pain, the band experienced grace and growth. The process also brought them to an even more vulnerable place lyrically and relationally, which is reflected in the bands new album, When The Light Comes, book and reality TV Series. Frontman Mike Weaver took a few moments from the bands busy tour schedule to answer a few questions for CCM.

The highly-anticipated new project from Big Daddy Weave, When The Light Comes is available today. With a successful album kick-off, thanks in part to its first single, "Alive," hitting No. 1 at radio, the launch of lead vocalist Mike Weaver's book, I Am Redeemed, the debut of their own reality show on TBN, and a headlining tour that just opened last night, the light is certainly shining for the members of Big Daddy Weave.

Creating this collection of new songs helped Big Daddy Weave affirm their faith in a God who makes all things new, and light a path back to joy. Given the circumstances, much of When the Light Comes is surprisingly buoyant and punchy.
